Requirements
- Bachelors degree in an engineering discipline.
- Experience with data analysis/automation (or ability to develop further experience in) R, RMarkdown, Python, git, LaTeX, Bash/Shell/Batch scripting, Docker, VS Code, GitHub, etc.
- Proven team player with excellent verbal and written communication/presentation.
- Ability to work with highly collaborative team.
- Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
- Prioritizes and ensures safety of one self and others.
- Ability to proactively collect, manage and transfer knowledge.
- Ability to seek different and novel ways to create efficiencies when working on problems, challenges and issues.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Kairos teams responsible for development and implementation of Kairos Power’s ANS 15.8 QA program, including design control, test control, records management, training, internal assessments, and supplier evaluation.
- Assist in QA program development and implementation through direct contributions and through coaching/training other responsible members of the Kairos team.
- Provide cross-functional guidance across multiple teams to enable innovative approaches to meeting quality requirements during the design, procurement, build, and operational phases of reactor projects.
- Capture lessons learned from the technology development design-build-test cycles by writing Operating Experience narratives, coaching/mentoring others to prepare narratives, and participating in cause analysis.
- Develop technology insights through hands-on experience in hardware build and test operations.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ANS 15.8 research and test reactor QA program implementation and execution strongly preferred.
- Preferred experience working with high temperature salt systems or other hazardous processes, and implementing appropriate safety and process controls.
- Preferred experience in hardware research and development.
- Preferred experience in a hardware production environment for established technologies.
- Preferred experience with commercial grade acceptance processes (nuclear commercial grade dedication, commercial off-the-shelf procurement and MIL-SPEC, or similar).
