Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Four years of related experience
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others
- Ability to lift moderately heavy objects
- Ability to exert heavy force
- Working beyond regular business hours and/or working on weekends
Responsibilities
- Assess Animal Health by checking Fecal egg counts, FAMACHA score, and body condition score.
- Compiles and reviews data and metadata. Keeping records of treated animals on the farm is required.
- Collects samples and measurement data from experiments. Sample collection includes blood, tissue, rumen fluid, and fecal samples.
- Performs analysis and tests. McMaster technique for fecal egg counts, packed cellular volume for blood samples, and body weight.
- Extracts, collects and compiles data. Maintains databases and extends projections.
- Develops and maintains training materials for external users. Providing regular maintenance on microscopes for fecal egg counts, micro-centrifuges, and FAMACHA cards.
- Performs other duties as assigned
