Requirements
- Associates in Nursing
- Bachelors in Nursing within 5 years
- Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed health care role and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination.
- MI Registered Nurse (RN) within 60 days
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days
- NIH Stroke Certification – NIHSS National Institute of Health Stroke Scale CHS within 90 Days
Responsibilities
- Deliver caring, competent patient care in conjunction with a mentoring Registered Nurse
- Perform assessments in an ongoing and systematic manner
- Formulate a goal directed plan of care
- Implement delegated interdependent and independent direct care activities based on skills learning and clinical training, assessment findings and evaluation of any previous interventions
- Collaborate with mentoring RN on the nursing process, supporting documentation and other items as appropriate
