Requirements
- Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN)
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) certification
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIH) completed within last year
- CCSR OR – 2 years current experience in OR in acute care setting
- CCSR ED – 2 years current experience in ED in acute care setting
- CCSR Float Pool – 1 year current experience in acute care setting including med/surg, telemetry but prefer 2 years
- CCSR AMET – Adult Medical Emergency Team – 2 years current experience in CC or ED
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care
- Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans
- Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments
- Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
- Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs
- Educate patients and their families
