Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Current RN license in the state of Kentucky or Kentucky work permit
- Certifications based on the unit worked: BLS, ACLS, PALS, BCA, LTA, 12 Lead EKG, CPI, TNCC, ENPC, AWHONN Fetal Monitoring, Patient Deterioration, NIH Stroke, NRP
Responsibilities
- Perform care requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgement and nursing skills
- Utilize high-level assessment skills to design and ensure multidisciplinary patient care
- Supervise CNAs, Techs, Unit Secretaries, and Clinical students
- Monitor and adhere to safety responsibilities and initiatives
- Identify scope of practice issues, prioritization, critical thinking, effective decision making, communication, interpersonal relationship skills, delegation and team leading skills
