Requirements
- Active Kentucky RN License
- BCLS required within 90 days
- ACLS and PALS required within 6 months
Responsibilities
- Implement the nursing process for each patient assigned to your care, regardless of age (infancy to geriatric)
- Ensure patient care is consistent with Kentucky Nursing Laws, organizational policies, and procedures
- Promote positive patient outcomes and deliver quality care while actively participating in unit-based and hospital shared governance councils
- Contribute to maintaining a healthy professional practice environment
- Follow National Professional Nursing Standards, using critical thinking and clinical reasoning to provide optimal patient care and exercise appropriate nursing judgment
- Collaborate with the inter-professional team to enhance patient outcomes
- Engage in continuous professional development and lifelong learning
Preferred Qualifications
- Critical care experience is desired
