Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Current RN license in the state of Kentucky or Kentucky work permit
- Certifications based on the unit worked: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, BCA, LTA, 12 Lead EKG, CPI, TNCC, ENPC, AWHONN Fetal Monitoring, Patient Deterioration, NIH Stroke
Responsibilities
- Performs care requiring substantial specialized knowledge, judgement and nursing skills based upon the principles of psychological, biological, physical and social sciences in the application of the nursing process
- Utilizes high-level assessment skills to design and ensure multidisciplinary patient care to meet holistic needs, incorporating established practice guidelines and regulatory standards
- Must possess ability to supervise CNAs, Techs, Unit Secretaries, and Clinical students
- All employees will continually monitor and adhere to safety responsibilities and initiatives
- Ability to identify the scope of practice issues, prioritization, critical thinking, effective decision making, communication, interpersonal relationship skills, delegation and team leading skills consistent with the level of professional growth
