Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Analytics, Research, Data Science, Compute Science, Engineering, etc.)
- 5+ years of proven success as an analyst in sales or other business group facing analytics roles
- Must possess strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Experience working with diverse data sources, sizes, and formats
- Expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience querying data from relational databases using SQL-preferred
- Technical competency to perform sophisticated exploratory analysis
- Ability to be highly productive with minimal oversight from management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to present technical contents to general audiences
- Willing and able to roll up the sleeves and work with competing deadlines
- Thrives in a fast paced startup environment
Responsibilities
- Be our lead analyst for key sales analytics projects and deliverables
- Work closely with the sales team to understand priorities and craft an analytics plan
- Perform analysis in the areas of product utilization, pipeline conversion, sales forecast, account targeting, etc. to help Sales improve operational efficiency and meet strategic goals
- Collect, consolidate, and analyze diverse data and intelligence from Salesforce, the sales team, the product usage portal, and other sources
- Design and develop appropriate analytical approaches and methodologies
- Develop exploratory analyses to support both reactive requests and proactive projects
- Use insights and recommendation to inform commercial strategies and operational decisions
- Assist company’s monthly business review and other activities that require analytics
- Present analyses and recommendation to senior management and business groups
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with analyzing compensation through Excel
- Redshift or similar data warehouse
- Experience using R, Python, or other statistical software to develop analytical solutions
- Working knowledge of Salesforce.com or other cloud-based CRM systems
