Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in television production or related field of study preferred, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Understanding of television production and the roles of technical crews
  • Strong ability to interact effectively with various levels across the organization
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication; excellent phone etiquette
  • High competency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Capability to maintain composure and efficiency under pressure
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong conflict/resolution skills
  • Must be very organized, self-driven, and adept at working with others
  • Flexibility with work hours, willingness to work nights and weekends, and adaptability to a 24/7 work environment

Responsibilities

  • Organize the schedule for technical operators, including both staff and freelancers
  • Facilitate the coordination of tech operations time off requests using WorkDay and Advance Booking Calendars
  • Handle sick calls from technical operations staff and arrange cover for their shifts
  • Work closely with tech managers and supervisors by communicating daily crewing needs
  • Keep producers up-to-date with any changes in the daily work schedules
  • Collaborate with the scheduling manager to fill open shifts and adjust to new programming changes
  • Manage daily production requests for pre-taped content, rehearsals, and program location changes using internal systems
  • Act promptly to scheduling needs during breaking news events
  • Keep the Fabric/Mediapulse scheduling system current by applying software updates
  • Available for occasional on-call responsibilities to address urgent needs outside of regular hours
  • Carry out additional special projects or duties as assigned.
