Requirements
- Educational research & hands-on knowledge of consumer goods, food chemistry, analytical testing, formulations and processing used in food manufacturing
- Understanding of ingredient functionality and interrelationship of ingredients, process, and packaging
- Good communication, critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Self-starter with a passion to learn is a must
- Strong understanding of Design of Experiments
- Manage multiple assignments/tasks concurrently with the ability to question the priority of work
- Willingness to travel 30%
Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing and commercializing new products, renovating existing products, reviewing and evaluating ingredients, and delivering cost savings across the Taste Elevation Category
- Work collaboratively with Packaging R&D, Quality, Operations, Manufacturing, Project Management, Marketing, and Sales to drive, scope, execute projects to meet the business objectives
- Technical project leadership activities include prototype development, cost evaluations, execution of factory trials, development of product specification, factory document generation, recipe and label development, shelf life assessment
- Other project leadership activities include conducting risk and feasibility assessments, coordinating with cross-functional teammates to organize product tastings and sensory evaluations, set-ups of systems for new ingredients and finished goods.
