Requirements
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with a focus on client needs and business objectives
- Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Able to travel up to 40% of the time based on territory
Responsibilities
- Develop deep and meaningful relationships with AssetMark sales teams, advisors, and recordkeeping wholesalers to identify business opportunities.
- Actively seek new client relationships and manage the sales lifecycle from prospecting to closing. Educate, influence, and persuade advisors on the key benefits of the AssetMark SDBA program.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with financial advisors, ensemble teams, and recordkeeping wholesalers. Manage advisor escalations timely to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
- Proactive and continuous outreach to prospective clients utilizing internal and external networks, Salesforce, Discovery Database, marketing campaign leads, etc. while maintaining a sales pipeline.
- Attend/Present at AssetMark and industry conferences, networking events, and seminars to promote the organization’s retirement services, expanding the network of potential advisory clients and partners.
- Work closely with internal teams, including compliance, operations, and marketing, to ensure alignment in service offerings and messaging in the marketplace.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, or a related field preferred
- 5-10 years proven experience in business development or sales with SDBA accounts, specifically PCRA and BrokerageLink and/or retirement plan industry experience
