Requirements
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD)
- Strong understanding of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and other relevant standards
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in AIG and SKM
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering for facilities, including at least 4 years in a leadership role
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of electrical engineers and designers
- Oversee the design and development of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems for various facility types
- Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and regulations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical designs into broader facility engineering projects
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources while ensuring high-quality deliverables
- Serve as the primary technical contact for clients, providing guidance and addressing concerns
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in electrical design methodologies
- Support business development efforts by contributing to proposals, client presentations, and strategic planning
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications in LEED, Value Engineering, Energy Management or similar certifications are preferred
- Memberships and active participation in discipline specific professional organizations such as IEEE, CEE, etc.
