Requirements
- 5+ years’ of providing security related support.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or related field and/or relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Proven experience as a Cyber Security Engineer or similar role.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and security technologies.
- Experience with security assessment tools such as vulnerability scanners and penetration testing tools.
- Familiar with security industry standards and regulations.
- Ability to work/collaborate with different contractor and government teams as well as industry and vendors with a high level of professionalism, good judgment, and tact.
- Active Public Trust Clearance or Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct security assessments to identify vulnerabilities in our computer systems and networks.
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Design and configure security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems and encryption systems.
- Monitor network activity to identify potential threats and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
- Conduct forensic analysis of security incidents to determine the cause and extent of the breach.
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to implement security solutions that meet the needs of our organization.
