Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of tailoring experience in a retail or customer-service environment
- Strong working knowledge of garment construction in men’s and women’s apparel
- Ability to perform high-quality workmanship including hand and by machine
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-starter
- Able to perform multiple tasks efficiently with a strong organization of time
Responsibilities
- Make adjustments to men’s and women’s suits, shirts, coats, blazers, dresses, and trousers
- Shorten/lengthen sleeves
- Taper sides of garments
- Lower collars
- Take in/out trousers waist
- Take in/out seat and rise on pants
- Shorten/lengthen trousers
- Taper trouser thighs and foot widths
- Ensure proper sizing of clients
- Manage all interactions with professionalism
- Track detailed alteration production daily
- Perform alterations on all garments submitted for alteration, press finished garment, remove threads, and complete for client-ready
- Complete all work promptly to ensure customer delivery date
- Maintain a clean work environment and maintain all required paperwork related to daily assignments
