Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee daily and monthly accounting operations, including the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review account reconciliations, proactively identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain the integrity of financial records.
  • Consolidate financial results and support the preparation of internal and external financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
  • Conduct expense trend analysis during month-end close, identifying key variances and providing insights to management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial records, promoting alignment between accounting and business operations.
  • Partner with the FP&A team to analyze budget-to-actual variances, ensuring proper period cut-off, expense classification, and GL coding.
  • Review contracts and agreements to determine appropriate accounting treatment in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Assist in cash management functions, including bank reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, and liquidity analysis.
  • Oversee accounts payable processes, reviewing and approving vendor invoices to ensure accurate coding to the appropriate GL accounts and departments.
  • Identify and drive process improvements and automation opportunities to enhance efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
  • Support external audits by preparing required documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and coordinating with auditors.
  • Participate in and lead key accounting initiatives, such as the implementation of new accounting standards, system enhancements, and the development of management reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA certification preferred but not required.
  • Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems strongly preferred.
  • Experience with process improvement and automation to enhance accounting efficiency is a plus.
