Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related manufacturing technical degree
  • CNC machine programming experience is a must.
  • Two to Five (2 to 5) years of related experience, or a combination of education and experience
  • Good organizational, project management, presentation, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage numerous projects in a fast-paced engineering environment
  • Experience with equipment and process layouts
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles
  • Experience working with 3D CAD software (examples: NX, Solidworks, Inventor)
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to travel up to 10-15% of the time including some international travel
  • Legal Authorization to work in the United States – Sponsorship will not be provided for this role

Responsibilities

  • Drive the development of manufacturing processes by making data driven decisions to deliver how future products will be designed and manufactured.
  • Apply CNC machining and programming regularly
  • Enable the development and implementation of process and equipment installations, including design, justification, and procurement
  • Develop build, quality, and manufacturing specifications
  • Collaborate with product development groups to address industry trends and leverage design for manufacturing expertise to ensure all aspects of safety, quality, and performance are achieved
  • Work closely with design engineering teams to incorporate features for low-cost, high-quality products and processes
  • Work with cross-functional teams to address current manufacturing challenges across multiple product lines
  • Work in a collaborative environment to progress Manufacturing Technology Readiness Levels (MRL’s) while meeting the needs of the product Technology Readiness Levels (TRL’s)
  • Ensure all production related technologies, equipment, and processes meet all safety requirements in accordance with applicable industry standards
  • Drive continuous improvement by applying lean principles that are aligned with manufacturing and automation strategies
  • Serve as the technical expert for assigned manufacturing process responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles
  • Understanding of Design For Manufacturing and Automation
  • Understanding of PLC programming & FANUC robot controls
  • Proficient in performing manufacturing PFMEA
