Requirements
- Experience in accounts receivable, collections, or a related finance role.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and the ability to analyze financial data.
- Excellent organization, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
- Ability to balance firm collections efforts with customer-centric service.
- Comfort with change and ability to pivot in response to shifting business needs.
Responsibilities
- Proactively collect on outstanding balances and maintain aging >30 days past due at ≤10% of open AR balance.
- Minimize write-offs by identifying and resolving obstacles efficiently.
- Seek to understand customers’ situations and provide accurate, informative details to assist with overall account reconciliation and issue resolution.
- Provide exceptional support to customers by handling payment inquiries and disputes with professionalism and empathy.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams (sales, disputes, cash, disputes, billings, controllership, finance, legal, etc.) to drive resolution and improve processes.
- Maintain accurate records of collection activities, customer interactions, and payment commitments.
- Utilize Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data analysis) to track, report, and analyze customer account activity.
- Own and manage assigned accounts with a strong sense of accountability and responsibility.
- Adapt to evolving processes, systems, and priorities, embracing change with a flexible and solution-oriented mindset.
- Be self-motivated, take the initiative to resolve issues, improve processes, and stay on top of collection efforts without constant supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle, HighRadius, Power Bi and BW reporting.
- Knowledge of credit and collections best practices.
