Requirements
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Responsibilities
- Analyze manufacturing system performance to identify undesirable effects and opportunities for improvement.
- Calculate resource utilization and identify throughput constraints.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate constraints, improve efficiency, and meet or exceed cost, quality, and on-time delivery goals.
- Support the New Product Introduction teams within the facility and assist with transition to standard production build.
- Participate in factory safety and ergonomic improvements.
- Optimize facility layout through process mapping.
- Contribute to the technology roadmap for the facility, procuring and implementing new manufacturing equipment and processes to drive cost improvements.
- Perform root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for manufacturing defects.
- Communicate with varying levels of leadership as well as production operators to clearly identify problems and create solutions.
- CORE Operating System engagements and activities to support our facility and department goals.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma
- 2D and 3D CAD Modeling Experience – Solidworks/Creo/AutoCAD
- Project Management Experience
- Application of Lean Manufacturing Principles
