Requirements
- Minimum five years related work experience.
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred.
- Corporate archives experience desired; corporate records management familiarity useful.
- Demonstrated capability for management of concurrent multiple projects.
- Minimum of 2 years digital asset management experience or comparable; familiarity with common tools and asset ingest, export, metadata creation, and user rights management. Knowledge of Preservica.
- Knowledge of various metadata best practices and schema, including Dublin Core preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills essential.
Responsibilities
- Serves as a spokesperson and broadens awareness of the archives. Develops and implements effective strategies to increase awareness of Vanguard’s archives and history.
- Manages and oversees relationships with vendors responsible for storing digital archival sources.
- Completes all aspects of archival collection processing, including accession, description, preservation and cataloging.
- Ensures the preservation of Vanguard’s archival resources and maintains appropriate security safeguards for the collection.
- Provides effective archival research services and content to the global Vanguard community.
- Improves end-to-end archival processes by applying current and evolving industry standards, while complying with relevant internal policies and external regulations. Proactively records key corporate initiatives, organizational changes, policies, and procedures, and other important developments.
- Develops and strengthens working relationships with key stakeholders across the organization and in the industry to support the archives.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
