Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 3+ years of experience at an investment bank, private equity firm, management consulting firm or in a corporate strategy/development role at a large company
- Excellent financial modeling, valuation/transaction and quantitative analyses skills
- Intellectually curious and passionate about the business of sports, media and entertainment
- Highly organized, self-motivated and persistent team-player with outstanding work ethic
- Exceptional judgment with strong written and verbal communication skills
- High degree of attention to detail and an ability to complete work accurately and efficiently
- Ability to thrive on a small team, wearing many different hats and having significant exposure to senior leadership, with the composure and confidence to work on several projects simultaneously
- Ability to work effectively and independently across functions/business units in a rapidly changing business environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and outbound mentality who can successfully build beneficial relationships
- Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information in a discrete manner
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to Boston, MA and willing to occasionally travel
Responsibilities
- Assist in the Identification, Evaluation and Execution of Potential Strategic Growth Opportunities
- Support executive leadership on all matters related to FSG’s corporate development and strategy
- Monitor trends and transactions across the sports, media and entertainment ecosystem, interpret data, and identify potential competitive opportunities/threats facing FSG and its properties
- Generate inbound and outbound deal flow
- Conduct market assessments, size new opportunities (related to current and new lines of business), and evaluate potential strategic initiatives, partners and transactions
- Collaborate with senior management and outside advisors to assess potential M&A opportunities that support and accelerate strategic priorities
- Participate in meetings and contribute to building, maintaining and strengthening partner relationships throughout the life of a transaction and beyond
- Build detailed financial and operating models and develop various financial analyses
- Prepare and present analyses, conclusions and recommendations to senior leadership
- Assist with transaction execution, including:
- Conducting financial modeling, valuation, comparable/relative value analyses and market-specific analyses
- Coordinating due diligence efforts with internal and external counterparties
- Managing information flow across a cross-functional deal team
- Assisting with deal negotiations
