Requirements
- Proficient in Typescript
- Deep knowledge in distributed systems and SOA — load balancers, databases, queuing, caching, HTTP, APIs, high-availability, fault tolerance, redundancy, at-least-two-of-everything
- 4+ years of professional experience with production distributed systems, service-oriented architecture
- Experience or working knowledge of React
- Values writing clean, maintainable software, including documentation
- Comfortable with ambiguity and defining software architecture patterns to solve customer pain points
Responsibilities
- Architecting and implementing backend systems in Typescript/Node
- Designing and building an ingestion pipeline for analytics/insights products
- Spiking on CI/CD to improve stability
- Building out durable/distributed cart/hosting for ecommerce product
- Deploying a multi-tenant NextJS app for shops in Cloudflare
- Mentoring junior engineers on best-practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Have started a company before
- Enjoy attending hackathons
- Worked at an early-stage (Series A or earlier) startup previously
- Have not wasted hours interview-prepping on Leetcode
- Have an eye for visual design (or past experience in product design, Figma, etc)
