Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience working as a Business Analyst, preferably in Master Data Management and Markit EDM.
- Hands-on experience with client, security, issuer, or legal entity data is a plus.
- Proficiency in SQL, data modeling and ETL processes.
- Understanding of the financial services and asset management industry.
- Strong desire to learn and grow in fast-paced, innovative environment.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders across business and technical teams.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects concurrently.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders, developers and business analysts to design, document and implement comprehensive Master Data Management and Data Governance solutions.
- Work closely with members of the team and stakeholders to analyze and document requirements related to Master Data Management including data definition, attributes, relationships and business rules.
- Design, implement and maintain master data governance frameworks and processes to ensure data quality and consistency on the firm’s enterprise data management tool, Markit EDM.
- Analyze existing processes and workflows, identify gaps and recommend improvements, document detailed business requirements and use cases to enhance performance.
- Lead efforts in data validation, user acceptance testing and certification of data for use by business applications.
- Support the technical operations of data catalog, data lineage, and data glossary tools ensuring effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.
- Work on prioritized tasks to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
- Conduct ad-hoc data analysis and present findings clearly to stakeholders.
- Collaborate in a success-oriented environment while contributing to the achievement of team objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience collaborating with Data Governance stakeholders and in Agile environment is a plus.
- Experience with data catalog tools (e.g. Collibra), data quality tools (e.g. Datactics) and Tableau experience is highly desirable.
