Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and 5 to 8 years of experience
- 5+ years of working knowledge of software development
- 5+ years of working knowledge of SQL
- Strong Agile Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills including organizational, team building, people management, issue resolution, and customer relationship management
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills at all levels of the organization with both internal and external customers
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills with proven ability to lead and manage projects with medium to high levels of technical and/or functional complexity
- Demonstrated ability to systematically gather relevant information from different sources to address an issue and make a prompt and insightful decision
Responsibilities
- The Business Analyst analyzes user’s requirements and high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications
- Analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities
- Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies
- Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology
- Incorporates new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations
- Develops technical documentation
- Develops system Architecture and system design documentation
- Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans
- Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts
- Ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility
- Work with a team of development and support engineers to support their successful achievement of their daily, iteration, release goals, and delivery objectives
- Facilitate daily scrums, sprint reviews, sprint planning, backlog grooming, etc.
- Ensure that the team is fully functional and productive, enabling close cooperation across all roles and functions, while removing barriers
- Occasional travel for training and cross-team meetings
Preferred Qualifications
- Programing experience
- Previous work with Government clients, DHS, or CBP
- Past experience working with systems built using Java/JEE
