Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5 to 8 years of experience
  • 5+ years of working knowledge of software development
  • 5+ years of working knowledge of SQL
  • Strong Agile Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including organizational, team building, people management, issue resolution, and customer relationship management
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills at all levels of the organization with both internal and external customers
  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills with proven ability to lead and manage projects with medium to high levels of technical and/or functional complexity
  • Demonstrated ability to systematically gather relevant information from different sources to address an issue and make a prompt and insightful decision

Responsibilities

  • The Business Analyst analyzes user’s requirements and high level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications
  • Analyzes system requirements and leads design and development activities
  • Guides users in formulating requirements, advises alternative approaches, and conducts feasibility studies
  • Provides technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology
  • Incorporates new plans, designs and systems into ongoing operations
  • Develops technical documentation
  • Develops system Architecture and system design documentation
  • Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans
  • Interacts with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues or conflicts
  • Ultimate responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the Systems Engineering area of responsibility
  • Work with a team of development and support engineers to support their successful achievement of their daily, iteration, release goals, and delivery objectives
  • Facilitate daily scrums, sprint reviews, sprint planning, backlog grooming, etc.
  • Ensure that the team is fully functional and productive, enabling close cooperation across all roles and functions, while removing barriers
  • Occasional travel for training and cross-team meetings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Programing experience
  • Previous work with Government clients, DHS, or CBP
  • Past experience working with systems built using Java/JEE
