THE ROLE:

The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst provides analytical support for financial and business operational projects, driving forward-looking strategies and improving processes. This role is responsible for financial analysis, data pipeline creation and maintenance, and financial forecasting. Working with the Finance Director and Manager, the Senior Financial Operations Analyst handles intermediate complexity projects and guides other team members to ensure data integrity and reporting accuracy.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Leading the company’s budgeting and forecasting processes, analyzing actual results against plans and forecasts.
  • Supporting acquisition diligence and integration through data validation and post-acquisition reporting development.
  • Building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Developing and analyzing budgets, segment reporting, account reconciliations, and BI visualizations.
  • Improving financial reporting efficiencies and participating in month-end close processes.
  • Designing, implementing, and maintaining data pipelines to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of reporting.
  • Supervising and training team members on accounting and database development tasks. 

This is a hybrid position, coming into the Corporate El Segundo office 3x per week. 

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE:

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial modeling and forecasting.
  • Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with NetSuite is a plus.
  • Expertise in problem-solving, data analysis, and multitasking.
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking.
  • Proficiency with BI and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Fundamental knowledge of databases, including warehousing and design.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS SQL Server BI tools, Power Query, and DAX.
  • Working knowledge of SQL (required).
