Requirements
- 5+ years of related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline; OR the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
- Expertise in IBM z/OS, COBOL, JCL (Job Control Language), DB2, IMS DB/DC, VSAM
- Strong knowledge of batch job execution, scheduling, monitoring, and troubleshooting
- Experience in handling Medicare claims (CMS-1500, UB-04, HIPAA 837P, 837I)
- Working knowledge of Medicare Enrollment (CMS-855) and Eligibility Verification (270/271 transactions)
- Familiarity with RA (Remittance Advice) and EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) processing (835, 837, 277CA, 276/277)
- Strong hands-on experience in DB2, IMS DB, and VSAM for processing large healthcare datasets
- Experience with Control-M, CA-7, TWS (Tivoli Workload Scheduler), or other batch scheduling tools
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations related to Protected Health Information (PHI)
- Knowledge of CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) requirements
- Experience with RACF, ACF2, or Top Secret for mainframe security
- Familiarity with MQ Series, FTP/SFTP for file transfers between payers, providers, and government agencies
- Understanding of APIs and web services (SOAP, REST) for integrating mainframe with modern platforms
Responsibilities
- Responsible for translating functional design into technical specifications ensuring functionality and integration with existing systems/platforms
- Create requests and provide governance to promote code to different environments based on firm standard
- Troubleshoot production issues, document incidents, and provide timely fixes and drive problem resolution
- Perform creation of unit, functional, integration and performance testing
