Requirements

  • A minimum of 6-7 years of practical experience with the DOD Joint Training System (CJCSM 3500 series), the Chairman’s Exercise Program, Combatant Commanders Exercises, or National Exercise Programs is required.
  • Incumbent must have three (3) years of CWMD experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Military exercise planning experience required.
  • DTRA and/or CWMD experience required.
  • TS/SCI required
  • US Citizenship

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of intricate and complex CWMD focused exercises in support of U.S. national military strategy and regional contingency requirements.
  • Develop, plan and script CWMD joint training events aligned with DoD and USG-wide Tier-I exercises to ensure proficiency of collective staff mission execution.
  • Identify strengths and weaknesses, review issues, lessons learned and recommend and implement refinements to the training and exercise audience.
  • Write information papers and brief GO/FO/SES-level leadership.
  • Be familiar with CWMD/CBRN policy and doctrine at the strategic and operational levels of war.
  • Coordinate with intelligence partners to maintain awareness and understanding of current WMD capabilities.
  • Provide scenario design and scripting support focused on threat actor employment of WMD based on intelligence assessments.
  • Provide technical, logistical, operational, training and associated ancillary support required to develop and execute global CWMD exercises.
  • Participate in conferences, working groups and other venues.
  • Provide current realistic CWMD threat exercise scenario development and scripting expertise for DTRA supported JTP exercises throughout the Joint Exercise Lifecycle.
