Requirements
- 4+ years professional experience in data analytics, data science, data engineering, or statistical analysis involving SQL
- Passionate about improving maternal health outcomes
- An autonomous individual contributor capable of prioritizing work across various workstreams
- Experienced scoping and implementing data-driven solutions to ambiguous problems, prioritizing efficacy over complexity
- Excited to work cross-functionally across technical and non-technical stakeholders, including folks who do not share your technical expertise
- A strong communicator and a keen nose for value – someone who can easily and quickly understand the needs of different audiences
Responsibilities
- Become an expert in the data that Pomelo has about our patient care and clinical outcomes, and play a foundational role in building the data culture of Pomelo
- Build recurring and custom reports and dashboards to provide visibility into key operating metrics related to staffing, service volume, and care management
- Partner closely with the Market and Care Operations teams to scope analyses that inform strategic decisions and translate Operation team needs into technical requirements
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual time spent on reporting, and implement solutions using the appropriate technical tools
- Think creatively about how to use data to proactively identify opportunities to improve patient care; define appropriate metrics and create visualizations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with healthcare data
- Experience presenting analyses to senior business audiences
- Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., Python)
- Experience with data dashboarding or visualization (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Metabase)
- Experience working with dbt
- Experience in a customer-facing role
