Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in data center infrastructure engineering.
  • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure components, including power, cooling, networking, and server hardware.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including deployment, management, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V).
  • Proficiency in implementing and managing Veeam Backup & Replication.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Solid understanding of networking protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching).
  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Veeam ONE).
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage data center infrastructure, including power distribution, cooling systems, network connectivity, and server hardware.
  • Implement and maintain physical and logical security measures within the data center environment.
  • Integrate and support Kubernetes clusters within the data center infrastructure, ensuring seamless operation and performance.
  • Manage and maintain virtual machine environments (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Implement and administer Veeam backup and replication solutions, ensuring data protection and disaster recovery capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the Kubernetes platform team to optimize infrastructure for containerized workloads.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
  • Automate infrastructure management tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Monitor infrastructure performance and proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems, escalating to vendors as needed.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical infrastructure.
  • Document infrastructure configurations and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in data center infrastructure, Kubernetes, virtualization, and backup/recovery.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker).
  • Knowledge of Linux and/or Windows system administration.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Server+, Certified Data Centre Professional, VMware Certified Professional, Veeam Certified Engineer).
