Requirements
- 5+ years of professional development testing experience, with proven skills in AAA projects
- Understanding of various game engine environment editors and tools
- Understanding of gameplay principles: encounters, flow, rhythm, scale, tension, pacing, variety, navigation, blocking, clarity, intuitiveness, etc.
- High proficiency with JIRA, TestRail, and other test management tools
- Strong communication skills and ability to clearly articulate complexities of hands-on experience to effectively communicate issues and share feedback to help craft memorable experiences for players.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility and work alongside developers, leads and directors and execute specific tests as required by the team to validate in-game and testing the experience thoroughly as part of a multi-disciplinary unit
- Discover bugs, find clear reproduction steps, and enter this information in the bug database as well as assist in prioritization and triage efforts
- Test, contribute to documenting and iterating on testing plans from high to low level of details
- Actively engage with multiple groups of expertise to drive gameplay and player experiences to a high-quality bar, providing feedback to developers and project leadership to support in achieving gameplay goals
- Be involved in all stages of production including but not limited to prototyping, blocking, scripting, tuning and balancing, polish and debugging
- Evaluate and communicate the impact of changes to ensure smooth project progression by actively participate in reviews, share feedback to elevate overall design quality
- Communicate frequently with production members and teams, working within the reporting pipeline to promote our QA standards, identify risks and ensure the overall quality of our game.
