Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required with 12+ years of experience in pharma/biotech space in advanced analytics.
  • Excellent leadership, collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive, results-oriented, and solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
  • Proficiency in manipulating and extracting insights from large longitudinal data sources, such as claims, diagnostic, EMR and other patient level data sets.
  • Expertise in managing and analyzing a range of large, secondary transactional databases is required.
  • Proven track record of leadership, time-management, project management, and teamwork.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a consultative mindset, with the ability to develop strong partnerships and influence without authority.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, mentor, and manage a team of analyst(s) and data specialist(s), driving both individual and team growth.
  • Lead data acquisition and analysis to inform commercial strategies, tactics, and decisions.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of real-world data sources (claims, diagnostic, EMR, etc.) to guide the organization on appropriate data sources to use for addressing key business questions.
  • Coordinate the procurement of various datasets; design and implement analytical solutions in support of various commercial initiatives.
  • Promote data-driven decision-making across the business by collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Market Access, Customer Engagement, and Legal & Compliance.
  • Create AI/Machine Learning infrastructure to support key strategic initiatives.
  • Identify Key Performance Indicators critical for launch success and lead KPI dashboard creation.
  • Deliver reports, dashboards, and presentations to senior leadership, translating complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Instill a culture of continuous improvement, testing, and deployment of new analytical capabilities for the business.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in analytics, ensuring the team uses the latest tools and methodologies.
  • Work closely with Syndax Commercial and Cross-Functional Teams and other internal stakeholders to design and execute analytical projects that align with business objectives.
  • Ensure that analytical insights are understood and effectively communicated to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ensure all analytics and team activities comply with industry regulations, including HIPAA, GxP, and other relevant compliance standards as required.
  • Maintain high-quality standards for data integrity, reproducibility, and validation of analytical models and methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous oncology experience preferred; hematology-oncology a plus.
