Requirements

  • 13+ years of experience in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related experience AND 10+ years employee communications experience in Employee Communications.
  • OR Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field AND 10+ years of experience in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related experience, AND 10 + years employee communications experience in Employee Communications.
  • 10+ years of people management experience.
  • Proven track record for leading and inspiring high performing employee communications teams.
  • Proven expertise in Talent-focused communications and partnering with Talent leaders.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with experience in crafting internal messaging and content for various internal channels including email, presentations, newsletters, sites, and more.
  • Skilled at managing complex and high stakes internal communications.

Responsibilities

  • Be a trusted thought partner to the Chief People Officer and the organization’s senior leaders, advising on the right forum, timing, and content of communications to ensure employees are informed, inspired, and empowered to help LinkedIn succeed.
  • Drive communications to LinkedIn’s global employees about all Talent-related initiatives including benefits, talent development, performance management, employee experience, DIBs, and hiring.
  • Manage the global Talent organization’s strategic calendar to ensure effective coordination so that employees receive the right information at the right time through the right channels.
  • Provide expert communications counsel to internal stakeholders, including Talent, Legal, and Policy executive teams to support change management, talent initiatives, and employee engagement programs.
  • Oversee internal response strategies for issues and crises, providing clear communications to employees as required.
  • Creatively use different communication formats such as live events, videos, emails to inform and inspire employees.
  • Evaluate the impact of internal communications and use insights to optimize and evolve strategies.
  • Lead complex, large-scale change communications initiatives.
  • Guide a team of talented employee communications professionals, supporting their growth and overseeing strategy, resourcing and prioritization.
  • Lead with adaptability, focus on problem solving through innovative solutions, and thrive in a landscape that can rapidly evolve.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 15+ years employee communications experience.
  • 10+ years experience supporting senior executives.
  • 15+ years of people management experience.
  • Relationship builder with strong business acumen and ability to prioritize around highest impact actions and partner across leadership and communications teams.
  • Strategic thinker, able to understand context and connect dots to stay ahead of issues and maximize opportunities.
  • Expertise in trust communications and issues management.
  • High degree of integrity, confidentiality, and managerial maturity.
