Requirements
- Have a PH.D in an area relevant to health or an M.D.
- Able to think critically about a wide range of scientific and health-related issues.
- Display exceptional oral and written communication skills.
- Have interest in engaging with the scientific, clinical health and public health communities.
- Have talent for distilling complex concepts and communicating them.
- Able to work well in diverse team settings.
- Have excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Able to work in office 1-2 times per month.
Responsibilities
- Liaising with the Lancet specialty journals to help communicate content and promoting special projects in the US.
- Conducting peer reviews, clinical trials and acquisitions, negotiate revisions.
- Evaluating papers, team presentations, peer reviews for those with the highest potential clinical impact and participate in team decision making.
- Promoting special projects (e.g., Series, Commissions, etc.) in the US. In addition, to managing the Preprints with The Lancet in partnership with the SSRN team.
- Contributing to the commissioning of Comments, Perspectives, Seminars, Reviews, and Clinical, Global Health, and other Series and Commissions.
- Reviewing editorial writing and outreach and working with other Lancet branded programs.
