Requirements
- Bachelors degree in STEM or related technical discipline.
- 12 or more years of increasingly responsible and related engineering/scientific experience, preferably including multi-disciplinary systems engineering and/or program management environments.
- Experience with space and ground architectures.
- Experience with multi-mission integration of systems.
- Experience with fielded systems to include concept development, system development, testing, or system fielding.
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems, deal with ambiguity, and work proactively within a dynamic environment where priorities may change.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with customers.
- Proven ability to lead technical analyses and lead teams.
- Experience working with government customers.
- Willing to travel occasionally to work location or customer site approx. if required.
- This position requires an active Top Secret SCI security clearance; eligible for SAP/SAR which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Advising Space Warfighting Analysis Center (SWAC), Space Security and Defense Program (SSDP), Multi-Domain Sensing Program (MDSP), and Spectrum Warfare Program (SWP) customers on technical and analytical approaches, force design, systems engineering, and development of systems and capabilities for customers.
- Developing analytic plans and defining analytic tasks needed to understand needs and refine force designs.
- Supporting government development and demonstration of capabilities that advance the state of the art in systems from concept through prototyping, acquisition, testing, and into operations.
- Working across space mission and program boundaries to identify common program challenges and risks, provide enterprise recommendations, and lead issues to closure.
- Identifying needed expertise and leading analytic teams from Aerospace Engineering and Technology Group (ETG) technical specialists to address customers’ key technical hard questions and challenges through data driven analysis.
- Working closely and effectively with external partners in integrated product teams that include government, contractor, and FFRDC members as an architectural thinker and thought leader.
- Communicating effectively with all levels of corporate management through timely reporting of technical issues and recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in from a recognized institution in engineering, mathematics, or technical science.
- Over 10 years of modeling, simulation, and analysis experience with a strong background in space systems technologies, space architectural concepts, or joint warfighting operations.
- Experience with space domain awareness, tasking, mission management, data transport, C2 processes, and/or RF system modeling.
- Defense planning experience.
- Experience leveraging matrixed employees to provide expertise for space systems development.
- Experience working with SWAC, SSDP, MDSP, US Space Force, US Space Command, and NRO customers.
- Demonstrated success in directly interfacing with senior government leadership of varying backgrounds.
- Experience with digital engineering and/or agile approaches to analysis and development activities.
- Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI access and SAP/SAR access.
