Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Security Management, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of combined experience in facilities management and physical security, with a proven track record of managing global operations.
  • Expertise in overseeing large-scale office portfolios (500,000+ square feet) and leading workplace services teams.
  • Strong understanding of building systems, maintenance practices, and workplace design.
  • Knowledge of physical security systems, risk assessment methodologies, and incident response protocols.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience managing multimillion-dollar budgets.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a comprehensive global physical security program to safeguard employees, assets, and facilities.
  • Conduct regular security audits, risk assessments, and emergency drills to identify and address vulnerabilities.
  • Lead the investigation and resolution of security incidents, including theft, vandalism, or workplace disruptions.
  • Manage access control systems, surveillance equipment, and other physical security technologies to ensure reliability and effectiveness.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce security policies and procedures tailored to regional needs and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee relationships with third-party security providers, ensuring high performance and alignment with company objectives.
  • Establish crisis management plans and train employees on emergency procedures, evacuation protocols, and safety awareness.
  • Develop and partner with regional leads to implement a global facilities strategy, focusing on operational efficiency, sustainability, and employee experience.
  • Partner on space planning, office utilization analysis, and scenario development across the global portfolio.
  • Ensure the efficient operation and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repairs.
  • Partner with real estate and workplace experience on office renovations, relocations, and decommissions, delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Negotiate contracts, manage relationships, and monitor performance of external vendors to ensure compliance with SLAs.
  • Develop and manage the global People & Places budget, tracking expenses and optimizing cost efficiency.
  • Ensure all facilities adhere to local health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Help to oversee day-to-day office operations, including reception, mailroom services, and employee amenities, to enhance the workplace experience. Support the Employee Experience Team with global initiatives.
  • Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams (e.g., HR, IT, Legal, Procurement) to align workplace and security strategies with organizational goals.
  • Act as a trusted resource for employees, addressing workplace-related questions and concerns.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to refine facilities and security operations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications such as CFM, FMP, PSP, or CPP are highly desirable.
