Requirements
- 4-year degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
- Strong NYSDOT highway design experience
- 8+ years of experience working with 3D design of major road projects
- P.E. License required
- Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering
Responsibilities
- Perform highway, interchange, and street design, including geometric design, 3D modeling, drainage design, work zone traffic control, construction staging, construction specification development, and material quantity calculations
- Utilize engineering software and interface with CAD designers, other engineers, and subcontractors
- Independently develop and/or supervise the creation of engineering products that meet customer quality requirements
- Produce detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses
- Optimize plans, profiles, and cross-sections by integrating drainage and utility information
- Support multi-disciplinary design development teams for project execution
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of Bentley’s InRoads and OpenRoads Designer applications desired
