Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required, and preference in HR or business-related field. Graduate degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years Human Resource Generalist, HR Specialty Area, or other business-related experience preferred. Broad understanding of core HR functions.
- Prior HRBP Experience strongly preferred.
- Understands revenue optimization and expense management initiatives and the relative alignment with Human Capital Strategies.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to build and foster strong relationships with peers and client business leaders.
- Understands how the business works; how it makes money; and role people play in driving business outcomes.
- Dedicated team orientation and ability to lead and deliver results through others.
- Effective diagnostic and problem-solving skills and an emphasis in measures and management of organizational and process performance.
- Proven effective project management skills and ability to balance multiple priorities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage highly sensitive matters; maintain confidentiality and objectivity. High personal standards of integrity.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, and Workday experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business executives, leaders, and teams to develop strategies that drive productivity and growth. Ensure that HR initiatives are aligned with overall business objectives.
- Deliver strategic HR support to assigned business area leaders, providing executive coaching on people strategies and leadership effectiveness. Participate on senior leadership teams, providing HR updates, facilitating talent processes, and connecting activities across the enterprise.
- Drive critical HR processes and work closely with HR teams to deliver key HR functions related to talent acquisition, compensation and rewards, talent management, career development, leadership development, employee relations, performance management, and strategic workforce planning.
- Work with senior leaders to design and implement organizational development initiatives to improve team effectiveness.
- Supports and drives change management activities and programs based on business strategy in their Business Unit’s assigned. Acts as the champion of culture, change and engagement initiatives.
- Lead projects within HR or represent HR on large-scale business initiatives related things such as organizational design, strategic imperatives, and acquisitions or divestitures.
- Coach and mentor leaders on leadership principles and behaviors, performance management, employee engagement and coaching techniques. Advise leaders on finding the right balance between HR strategy and business priorities of the organization and the realities, constraints and need for consistency.
- Uses data and analytics to identify areas of opportunity and risks and actively develops specifically targeted programs, initiatives, or interventions. Analyze performance metrics, including employee retention and experience data, to identify areas for improvement and drive enhancements.
- Collaborate with HR and other department managers to address and resolve workspace and employee relations issues.
- Implement strategies to create a work environment where employees can thrive, enjoy their roles, and pursue growth opportunities. Clearly links initiatives back to the voice of the employee and share successes.

Preferred Qualifications
- Insurance or Financial Services industry experience.
- Ability to travel 10-20%
