Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience in HR
- Experience using Microsoft Suite
- Demonstrated interpersonal and analytical skills
- Self-starter, results-oriented and customer-centric approach to work
- Experience in a variety of HR functions such as administration, compensation, recruiting, benefits, learning and development, and employee relations
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication (both oral and written) skills
- Critical thinking and attention to detail
- Ability to influence colleagues and stakeholders without formal authority
- Must maintain professional demeanor and discretion
- Ability to interact diplomatically and respectfully with all constituencies

Responsibilities
- Act as an approver for Dean’s Office through review and approval of personnel documents, timesheets and other documents
- Act as an HR Partner, I-9 Partner, Recruiter and Timekeeper for assigned units
- Advise supervisors regarding performance issues including expectations, coaching, development planning, corrective action, performance evaluation, grievance and appeal procedures, and compliance issues
- Assist units with reorganizations, new positions, reclassifications, compensation adjustments, and appointments
- Launch, track, and provide updates about the annual performance evaluation process
- Collaborate with campus partners, including the Provost Office, Human Resources, Payroll, and other related offices for all human resource functions
- Demonstrate good customer service with both internal and external customers
- Coordinate recruiting functions and processes for positions in the Moody College
- Advise departments with searches, posting positions, and processing hiring documents
- Provide support and resources on human resources related issues
- Assist new employees with questions
- Ensure compliance and consistency across units with all policies, procedures, regulatory agencies, and laws
- Participate in Moody College and University work groups to provide input into policies
- Provide leadership by managing and supervising the HR Assistant
- Serve as the dedicated resource for KUT/X and Texas Student Media units
- Pull, assemble, and maintain data for the annual salary survey, EEO report, and special projects
- Other related functions as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree and/or HR certification
- Additional experience beyond the minimum required
- Experience in higher education HR
- Prior experience using Workday
- Familiarity with UT policies and procedures
