Responsibilities

  • Administers the location’s payroll processing and related payroll change information for hourly employees and non-exempt salary employees, using ADP/eTime; the time and attendance system.
  • Communicates with payroll for any ADP issues and questions regarding payroll.
  • Makes entries into the H. R. Information System, any data changes i.e. job title, department, shift, pay changes, etc.
  • Trains employees on various platforms to include ADP/eTime and Workday.
  • Works collaboratively with employees, supervisors and managers to resolve employee relations issues and maintain an open-door policy.
  • Implements and monitors adherence to all organization-specific Human Resource related policies, procedures, and practices, acts as a liaison to staff regarding policies.
  • Assists in the consistent implementation of company and location’s policies and procedures. Explains and interprets as necessary policies and procedures.
  • Assists in processing hourly merit increase information within guidelines.
  • Works cohesively with all functional organizations (at all levels) to deliver expected results consistently.
  • Assists in administering benefit programs by conveying benefit information to employees. Communicates and assists employees with locating health and insurance enrollments, who to contact for changes and problem resolution.
  • Manages the Leave of Absence administration through our 3rd party vendors and guide employee through the leave process, i.e. the general structure of disability benefits, for short-term disability, Family and Medical Leave and long-term disability.
  • Drives employee engagement through effective communication, employee events and activities.
  • Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement in internal processes and makes constructive suggestions for change. Develop appropriate plans in support of key business needs in a dynamic, changing environment.
  • Administers position interest policy.
  • Maintains hourly personnel records and files and in the maintenance of hourly job descriptions.
  • Conducts exit interviews with terminating hourly employees.
  • Partners with HR Manager on a variety of tactical and project work.
  • Assists with maintaining the requisition and onboarding process in the HRIS system and communicating with the applicant.
  • Assists with interviewing process; scheduling applicants for interviews, schedules pre-employment screens and makes applicable follow-up contact with the applicants for hourly open positions.
  • Conducts new employee orientation to effectively introduce new employees to company policies and practices.
  • Uses Kahuna, a skills and training record platform. Retains training information as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ADP/eTime and Workday experience preferred
  • Bachelor of Science degree in business or human resources related field preferred
  • Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
