Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, psychology, business, or related field
  • 7+ years of overall HR experience, with a minimum of 2 years leading HR teams
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Human Resources best practices
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, labor relations, employment/wage/hour law, as it relates to the workforce in Texas
  • Strong working knowledge with MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent planning, scheduling and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to pro-actively execute and manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure and time constraints
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills are required; ability to apply systems knowledge to troubleshoot and analyze new issues is critical
  • Must be a self-starter, able to work independently with a proactive working style
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization including other departments, operations, and management

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute all HR strategies and communications within the distribution center
  • Ensure that full-time and temporary staffing requirements are met to support the needs of the business
  • Manage employee relations matters onsite and partner with VF’s Employee Relations team when appropriate
  • Coordinate overall training and development efforts to ensure consistency with corporate-wide initiatives
  • Support ongoing Talent Development and succession planning initiatives
  • Control Human Resources related costs including turnover, recruitment, employee engagement and department budgets
  • Provide expertise and thought leadership, create synergies and leverage knowledge, best practices, and resources across the business
  • Lead, develop, and support onsite team of HR professionals
  • Monitor administration of compensation and benefits, working closely with VF’s Compensation and Benefit teams to ensure compliance
  • Work closely with Senior Director, Human Resources and VF’s People Services team to ensure compliance with VF policies and procedures
  • Responsible for leading and/or managing special projects of importance to the business and/or HR function
