Requirements
- Strong foundation in smart contract development (Solidity required; Rust/Move a plus)
- Ideally 3+ years of experience in a full time software engineering role
- Experience using Hardhat and/or Foundry for testing and deployment
- Proficiency in scripting languages like JavaScript or TypeScript
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working across multiple chains and quickly ramping up on new technologies
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership — you test thoroughly and catch issues before they become problems
Responsibilities
- Work closely with our largest partners to develop and deploy custom implementations of LayerZero’s OFT/OAPP contract standards, ensuring seamless integration with their existing systems
- Engage with external partners to understand their technical needs and provide expert guidance on integrating LayerZero’s protocol, ensuring optimal performance and security
- Create and maintain robust tools to streamline the smart contract deployment process, enhancing efficiency and reliability for both internal teams and external partners
- Quickly adapt to and integrate LayerZero’s protocol with multiple blockchain platforms, including but not limited to Ethereum, Solana, Sui, Aptos, and Ton
- Develop comprehensive test scripts and deployment pipelines using Typescript/Javascript, Hardhat, and Foundry, ensuring all smart contract implementations meet LayerZero’s high standards of quality and compliance
- Provide detailed technical support for partners, helping them manage their implementations and troubleshoot any issues, while also communicating complex technical information clearly and effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Bonus: Previous experience in customer-facing or partner-supporting engineering roles
- Bonus: Familiarity with common LayerZero patterns (OFT/OAPP standards, wrapped assets, rate limiters, etc.)
