Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in international trade, logistics compliance, and customs operations.
  • Strong proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle Cloud ERP, NetSuite preferred) and EDI transactions.
  • In-depth knowledge of global trade regulations, HTS classification, ECCN compliance, and customs clearance.
  • Experience managing customs brokers, international shipping, and trade licenses.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and logistics reporting tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience working with 3PLs, freight forwarders, and government trade agencies.
  • Experience working with Trade Programs (FTZ, Duty Drawback, USMCA, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and track inbound, outbound, and reverse logistics shipments, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Investigate and resolve delays, misrouted shipments, lost freight, and discrepancies with carriers and 3PL partners.
  • Validate and document Proof of Delivery (POD) and Proof of Pickup for all shipments.
  • Ensure compliance with retailer routing guides, international trade laws, and transportation policies.
  • Manage retailer chargebacks, claims, and disputes, working with partners to minimize financial impact.
  • Validate EDI transactions, ASN accuracy, and compliance reporting to prevent errors.
  • Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for logistics compliance.
  • Research and resolve trade related issues.
  • Prepare training materials regarding Trade Compliance.
  • Ensure proper HTS code classification, ECCN compliance, and import/export documentation for global shipments.
  • Remain current on Trade Regulatory changes, assess impact and engage in proactive risk management.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements. Audit trade controls, processes, and tools for compliance and improvement.
  • Oversee customs brokers and validate 100% of broker invoices per SOX compliance.
  • Manage export licenses and documentation for regulated goods.
  • Monitor, forecast, and optimize duties, tariffs, and trade-related costs.
  • Oversee customs bonds and financial trade instruments.
  • Ensure all shipments comply with global trade restrictions.
  • Maintain compliance records and prepare for trade audits.
  • Collaborate with Legal to issue and manage POAs for brokers and partners.
  • Ensure all shipments have adequate insurance coverage to mitigate risk.
  • Develop and maintain shipment tracking dashboards, compliance reports, and trade analytics.
  • Analyze key logistics KPIs (on-time delivery, chargebacks, compliance violations, cost savings) and provide insights.
  • Work with IT teams to integrate data analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau) for enhanced reporting and automation.
  • Update and forecast quarterly tariff and duty changes for financial planning.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend best practices to enhance trade and compliance operations.
  • Partner with Operations, Procurement, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure seamless trade operations.
  • Work with freight forwarders, 3PLs, and government agencies to enhance compliance and logistics efficiency.
  • Support Roku’s global expansion efforts by ensuring all trade regulations are met for new markets.
  • Assist with sample shipments, new country trade setups, and regulatory filings.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Licensed Customs Broker certification.
  • Experience with import/export regulations in North America, Europe, and APAC.
  • Background in supply chain finance, SOX compliance, and global trade risk management.
  • Knowledge of trade automation tools, Oracle Integration Cloud, or middleware platforms.
  • Lean Six Sigma or process improvement experience.
