Requirements

• Extensive experience (6+ years) working in a data science or machine learning role demonstrating a proven track record of delivering models at scale
• Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science such as Python or R, along with experience using machine learning frameworks and tooling such as Spark, PyTorch, SciKit learn, etc.
• Strong understanding of machine learning models and their application for various use cases
• Ability to translate business problems into a data-driven solution framework
• Ability to collaborate with scientists, engineers, and product managers on a product-focused, iterative team
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to share your work with non-technical audiences
• Comfortable building ML models from scratch
• Familiarity with developing dashboards using Tableau, Looker etc.
• Experience with the AWS environment
• BS or MS in Computer Science/Machine Learning or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Work in an agile, startup-like environment building products and services
• Use your machine learning skills to explore and deeply understand Compass’s data
• Perform feature engineering and modeling tasks on top of this data to power customer facing features
• Collaborate with machine learning engineers to produce features in a production ready state
• Support machine learning features throughout the product life cycle
• Participate in developing and maintaining KPI dashboards
• Conduct exploratory and causal analysis on the utility of AI products for our customers
• Communicate results and findings with various stakeholders within the organization
• Participate in daily team meetings, and be part of an on-call rotation for your team’s products
• Create clear and concise documentation (diagrams, service descriptions, decisions, runbooks)
