Requirements
- 7+ years (Manager) / 10+ years (Senior Manager) of procurement experience in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or biotech consulting.
- Expertise in direct procurement, clinical trial sourcing, R&D procurement, and supplier management.
- Strong understanding of GxP regulations, FDA/EMA compliance, and global procurement standards.
- Ability to manage global teams
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and procurement platforms (Ariba, Coupa, SMART by GEP®).
- Proven track record of leading large-scale procurement transformation projects.
- Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for R&D, clinical trials, raw materials, APIs, excipients, biologics, packaging, and lab consumables.
- Lead category planning, supplier selection, contract negotiations, supplier relationship management, strategic sourcing pipeline generation, and risk mitigation strategies for critical direct procurement areas.
- Partner with pharma, biotech, and medical device companies to optimize procurement functions, drive cost efficiencies, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with CROs, CMOs, CDMOs, laboratories, and key direct materials suppliers.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory updates, and emerging technologies to develop innovative procurement solutions.
- Leverage data analytics, digital tools, and automation to enhance sourcing and procurement operations.
- Guide cross-functional teams, mentor junior consultants, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive procurement excellence.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA/MS in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Life Sciences preferred.
