Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Arts, Finance or related field and 4 years’ experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
  • Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and 2 years’ experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
  • 6 years’ experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or related field.
  • 1 year’s supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify opportunities to optimize reporting processes and improve data quality, lead the development and implementation of data quality to empower our subject matter leads on the Insight team as well as all other cross-functional teams that help accelerate the growth of Walmart’s ads business.
  • Serve reporting lead on key projects (such as Revenue Attribution, etc) and provide strategic recommendations that address complex business challenges.
  • Leverage advanced SQL skills to manage and manipulate data from disparate data sets across the larger ecomm environment to inspire deep dive analyses for root causes of business.
  • Utilize PowerBI and Tableau visualization tools to create intuitive, interactive dashboards and reports.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and understanding of data reporting.
  • Drive a data-driven culture across the organization by facilitating training sessions and promoting the importance of data in decision making.
  • Deliver in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, and 5-10 years relevant work experience.
  • Previous data analytics experience and familiarity with complex data sets is preferred, along with ability to interpret and manipulate data to identify patterns. Media & Advertising, eCommerce, CPG/retail background a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Excel is a must, additional experience with Python is a plus. Expert of data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, etc.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to effectively convey complex data insights to a non-technical audience, align business requirements, manage prioritization, and meet deadlines, etc.
  • Possesses strong critical thinking skills, business acumen, and strong attentiveness to details with the ability to quickly identify and or correct irregularities.
