Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience managing global benefits programs, preferably in high-growth, technology companies
  • Experience in navigating the complexities of global benefits practices, particularly in regions such as US, Brazil, Canada, United Kingdom, and Netherlands
  • Must have experience with self-funded medical plans
  • Must be an expert in time off programs globally
  • Flexibility and adaptability to switch between tactical execution and strategic planning as the company grows
  • Experience working in fast-paced tech environments
  • A proven track record of building and leading effective teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to roll up your sleeves to support the team if/when needed—whether solving complex benefits issues, optimizing processes, or stepping in where needed to ensure success

Responsibilities

  • Evolve Brex’s global benefits strategy to attract and retain top talent, supporting our continuous growth and fostering a culture of well-being
  • Lead and develop a high-performing benefits team, ensuring alignment with company goals
  • Manage and administer global benefit programs including but not limited to Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life & AD&D Insurance, HSA/FSAs, Retirement Plans, Perks and more
  • Lead all aspects of the leave program, including FMLA, ADA Accommodations, local leave laws, and company-specific leave policies
  • Oversee the administration and financial management of self-funded medical plans
  • Analyze claims data and utilization trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve plan effectiveness
  • Ensure time off policies are compliant and competitive in each geo
  • Manage and improve the administration of all time off programs, including vacation, sick leave, and holidays, across all global regions
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable local, regional, and national benefits regulations across all operating regions
  • Lead renewals and Open Enrollment inclusive of finalizing decisions based on your recommendations, configuring the enrollment system, communications, and auditing
  • Research and implement global best practices and emerging trends in benefits to ensure our offerings remain competitive and innovative
  • Build and maintain relationships with global benefits vendors and brokers, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements are met
  • Partner with finance, legal, and HR teams to deliver benefits programs that are market-relevant and compliant with local and global regulations
  • Design and execute communication strategies that effectively promote our total rewards programs to employees at all levels
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance and accuracy
