Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field; MBA preferred
- 7+ years of progressive experience in trade operations within wealth management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Deep understanding of financial markets, trading mechanics, settlement processes, and regulatory requirements
- Experience managing and developing teams in a fast-paced environment
- Strong technical aptitude with experience using and evaluating major trading platforms and financial software
- Strategic problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making
- Exceptional project management capabilities with proven ability to lead process improvements
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of trading professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
- Establish department KPIs and performance metrics to drive operational efficiency and client satisfaction
- Oversee the complete trade lifecycle from order to settlement, implementing best practices and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Design and maintain robust reconciliation processes, ensuring accurate trade and position records across all platforms
- Manage complex trade discrepancies, collaborating with custodians and counterparties to resolve issues promptly
- Develop and implement operational controls and risk management protocols to minimize errors and maximize efficiency
- Partner with financial advisors to provide strategic trading support and market insights
- Drive the evolution of our trading systems by identifying and implementing automation opportunities
- Build and nurture strategic relationships with external partners, including custodians and trading platforms
- Contribute to cross-functional initiatives that support the firm’s growth objectives
Preferred Qualifications
- Series 63, or other relevant FINRA licenses
- Extensive experience with major custodial platforms (Schwab, Fidelity, etc.)
- Track record of successful process automation or system implementation projects
- Advanced knowledge of portfolio management systems
- Experience scaling operations in a high-growth fintech environment
