Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 12+ years of experience in security-related disciplines
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, guide, and direct a small team responsible for delivering outputs such as annual training, function/area/topic-specific security training and awareness content relevant to a specific space, executing security events (hackathons, etc.) and more
  • Provide leadership to the team, ensuring high-quality deliverables that support business objectives and employee engagement.
  • Interact and collaborate with various teams across multiple functions to ensure smooth integration and alignment, especially Communications teams, auditors, GRC team members, and Legal / Compliance.
  • Lead the team in adopting new methods, technologies, or initiatives, even in the absence of established procedures.
  • Guide the team to meet or exceed performance and delivery targets.
  • Conduct regular team meetings, communicate corporate policies and procedures, leadership directives, and safety messages.
  • Develop and communicate a vision and strategy specific to functional responsibilities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Review deliverables, provide constructive feedback, and conduct performance interventions when necessary. Administer compensation plans and participate in compensation discussions.
  • Drive the prioritization for major security engagement and awareness events (annual training, topic-specific training, etc.)
  • Independently identify training, awareness, and engagement needs and develop approaches to fund and execute programs against high priority opportunities.
  • Source and/or develop novel content specific to GM’s needs that is high quality, engaging, and inspires action.
