Requirements

  • More than 5 years’ experience with bachelor’s degree required

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with state and federal aggregate spend transparency laws and regulations that will includes data collection, preparation and filing of applicable state and federal disclosure reports and certifications in a timely manner.
  • Recommend and provide requirements in collaboration with IT, Compliance, and other key stakeholders to determine process and technical enhancements to the various department systems and processes in support of data integrity for the Aggregate Spend program. Define process for monitoring and updating solutions based on internal and external insights, market evolution, and changes in brand/business strategy as it pertains to aggregate spend and address accordingly.
  • Develop and administer policies, practices, procedures, and training to help ensure the company’s operations are compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Manage internal certification workflow and review process as well as obtaining external vendor data certifications that will support attestation in connection with CMS data submission.
  • Manage external covered recipient dispute/resolution workflow process, handle communications with physicians and representatives of research institutions and teaching hospitals.
  • Establish and execute audit and monitoring activities of business operations and external vendors to ensure compliance applicable laws, regulations, and company policies (in collaboration with the Global Compliance Monitoring COE as needed). Proactively identify potential data integrity issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions in a timely manner.
  • Provide ongoing guidance to Viatris colleagues and external vendors regarding Viatris’ aggregate spend relates policies and practices.
  • Stay apprised of legal and regulatory changes and industry best practices regarding transparency compliance and strive to implement continuous enhancements to the company’s policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including support with standardizing Viatris’ transparency program worldwide based on best practices established in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry preferred
  • Transparency reporting experience preferred
  • In-depth understanding of healthcare-related laws and regulations and industry standard preferred, including the U.S. Transparency and/or Aggregate Spend requirements
