Requirements
- Hands-on feature architecture and design experience in one or more core technologies including WiFi 802.11 and Cellular 4G-LTE/5GNR
- Experience with WLAN software engineering with broad knowledge across the stack
- Deep system level understanding of wireless communications and its fundamentals
- Strong familiarity with software test coverage and automation
- Strong management and leadership skills including the ability to plan, execute and deliver a very high quality product with a high performing team
- Can work in a collaborative cross-functional environment alongside Systems, Software Embedded, and Hardware Engineers
- Strong debugging skills in a variety of environments
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of talented engineers working on multiple wireless solutions across the stack from cloud to MAC and PHY firmware layers
- Enhance and improve Skydio’s various wireless solutions, extending the range and providing high-speed and secure communication
- Oversee the development and realization of real world innovations in WiFi and Cellular technologies and tailor them to specific drone communication use cases
- Work to optimize command and control latency, video streams fusion, and end to end network management for various use cases and customer needs
