Requirements
- 5 years’ experience in electro-mechanical product development.
- Strong analytical skills and engineering fundamentals in solid mechanics, materials, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, mechanism design (using 3D CAD Solidworks), and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to craft clear engineering documentation (2D drawings, standard operating procedures, ECOs).
- Experience in failure analysis, root cause investigation, Design of Experiments and FMEA.
- Strong communications skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate with a global team.
- Bachelors in Mechanical engineering.
Responsibilities
- Lead mechanical design of electro-mechanical actuators, sensors, machined/molded/sheet-metal components and overall packaging on our products taking it from concept to production launch.
- Work with external vendors and partners to optimize design and augment internal capabilities.
- Perform tolerance analysis, run FEA and create design of experiments using scientific methods.
- Create design verification and validation plans, oversee execution of tests, analyze results, debug failures, and implement corrective actions.
- Provide design support to sustain current products during quality escalations or supply chain disruptions.
